Visual
Asset Manager™
The facilities and operational assets throughout your enterprise
represent a major investment by the organization essential to achieving
its mission. Yet too often this investment is neglected, those investments
misplaced, and those assets turned into liabilities – by the
simple inability to track where they are, what state they’re
in, what they're worth and what should be done with them.

Visual Asset Manager Enterprise
delivers full enterprise asset management features in an turnkey
package with optional modules and consulting service offerings.
STANDARD FEATURES
Mapping
The location of each asset within your company can be displayed
on company floor plans (uploaded in JPG format). Assets can be associated
with rooms and employees. Employees can be imported directly from
your Outlook global address list. Instantly display the location
of any asset by selecting the asset and clicking 'Locate.'
Tracking
Track your organization's assets, including workstations, servers,
printers, telephones, software, and more. Any number of tabs and
fields can be added and positioned on the Asset Detail form. Types
of fields that can be added are: text, checkbox, number, memo, picture,
and date. Properties can be set for each field such as 'default value,'
'calculation,' 'value list,' 'price,' etc.
Finding
Visual Asset Manager's powerful search capabilities
allow you to instantly list and link to assets by category, manufacturer,
model. maintenance or warranty expiration, and many other fields.
Bar Coding
Scan and print barcodes to better track your assets. Visual Asset
Manager supports the most popular bar code standards, which means
that almost any barcode can be easily scanned or printed. Barcode
labels can be quickly printed for hardware items that do not already
have a valid barcode.
Discovery
Visual Asset Manager's "workstation audit" feature provides an inventory
of your Windows network workstation environment by automatically
discovering software and hardware information. The workstation audit
provides the flexibility to collect as much or as little information
needed to manage your user desktops.
Managing
Visual Asset Manager can track maintenance coverage, equipment leases,
warranties and repairs that have been made for each item in your
asset inventory. It can also calculate straight-line depreciation
based on a given purchase price, purchase date and depreciation period,
and provide a means for tracking Fair Market Value, as well.
Moving
Scan assets out of one location and into another. Track location
and ownership of each asset, and manage moves of assets from one
location to another - even across multiple sites of your organization.
Reports
Generate over 25 customizable reports covering
inventory, maintenance, ownership, location and checkout status,
and more.
Sharing
Asset managers can check out and in shared
use assets like projectors, laptops, carts, easels. Each VAM user
can view the availability of each asset or asset pool, find available
assets within a given pool, check out an asset to a given user for
a given time period and check it back in again, and track and report
shared asset status.
VAM Architect
A recommended option if you require the ability to customize the
detail and search forms. The reservation form can be customized to
contain any number of fields and tabs. Field properties such as 'Default
Value', 'Value List', 'Outlook Import', 'PC Audit', etc. can also
be assigned using the Visual Asset Manager Architect.
