Data Import

E-ISG has implemented a Data Import tool that gives the user complete control of the spreadsheet, effectively simplifying one of the most complicated processes in fixed asset management.

Visual Asset Manager contains a built-in data import wizard that reads either an Excel 2007 spreadsheet or Comma Separated Value data without having to know how to write a database query.

The user-friendly Data Import tool allows even the most basic user to create a template to import desired data from a predefined library of fields; it can even note which fields are mandatory for efficient data capture. If the user misses a mandatory field, or enters data incorrectly, the importer will kick back unreadable files so the user can edit and re-import them. It will not kick back all of the files you imported, just the ones it was not able to accept.

Our predefined category library, or tabs and fields collection, can create new data elements quickly and easily by automatically linking fixed assets to people and locations as well as classifying each fixed asset by specifying the root, parent and child category name.

Data Export

Visual Asset Manager Importer also allows the user to export his/her fixed asset data, locations, and/or employee information by creating a template. From here the user can edit the headings/fields, save the template to his/her desktop, or print it out for meetings. Users can also export data from any search menu or item list, and in his/her choice of template.

Visual Asset Manager’s goal is to make data accessible to you in as many ways as possible, and the multi-function export capabilities, including reporting, makes it all available to the user at any time, in any way.
