E-ISG has updated the unique Property Pass Generator application for Visual Asset Manager. The application is a more detailed version of Visual Asset Manager’s original check in/out system, where the check in/out system was done internally within the Visual Asset Manager database. However, the new property pass manager is designed to be a separate entity that works in conjunction with Visual Asset Manager.

The Property Pass Manager creates a physical and virtual paper trail used to keep employees accountable for the fixed assets assigned to them. Moreover, the “signature capture” feature allows managers to digitally sign the property pass. The “signature capture” seals the property pass from further edits effectively creating a legal chain of custody used to transfer fixed assets from various locations.

If modifications or edits are made to the asset after the property pass has been signed, a second pass is created. This second pass exists as a child pass of the original pass, allowing users and managers to track an asset’s entire chain of custody. This invaluable tool ensures an organization will always have an up-to-date account of an fixed asset’s chain of custody.

It is for this reason that the Property Pass Generator has been adopted by the United States Coast Guard, Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and many other defense organizations to help track their security assets.
