System Requirements

The Web and Enterprise Editions of Visual Asset Manager require:

  • Pentium III processor or higher
  • 500 MB of available hard-drive space, variable depending upon anticipated database size
  • 512 MB of RAM (2 GB recommended)
  • Microsoft® Windows® 2003 32-bit
  • Web Server: Microsoft® IIS 5.0/6.0 with Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1, .NET Framework 3.5, and MDAC 2.5 or above

Database requirements include:

  • Microsoft® SQL Server 2005/2008 SQL Server Express Advanced Edition with Reporting Services.
  • Reports are provided in MS Reporting Services project.
  • Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services® (Required for viewing, creating, and customizing reports for the Web client)

Workstation requirements include:

  • Web clients: Microsoft® Windows® 2000/XP; Internet Explorer 5.x or above
  • Network clients: Microsoft® Windows® 2000/XP; 512 MB of RAM

For the Team Edition, workstation requirements include:

  • Pentium 500 Mhz processor or higher
  • 500 MB of available hard-drive space
  • 256 MB of RAM
  • Microsoft Windows® 2000/XP/2003
  • Microsoft Access® 2000,2003 or 2007

Optional Report Customization Features

VAM includes a MS Sql Server Report Services viewer so that users can easily generate and view standard reports. Customers can create new reports and modify existing ones by using the Business Intelligence Studio that comes standard with SQL 2005.

Appliance Service Level Agreement

We stand behind our Appliance services with a world-class data center and a binding commitment to ensure services are available when you need them.

E-ISG’s Service Level Agreement (SLA) guarantees that the Strategic Asset Mangement Appliance customers have uninterrupted access to service 99.9% of the time. In the unlikely event that monthly service uptime is less than 99.9%, affected customers are eligible for a service credit against their prorated service subscription fee.

Services

Asset Management Implementation — Standard

E-ISG implementation partners, E-ISG, will conduct a remote training session — a comprehensive package that includes the following:

  • One installation and configuration of VAM Network Client, Web Client and Reports; AND

One of the following:

  • Development of operational plan for inventory and asset management
  • Five custom reports
  • Forms customization using VAM Form Designer (up to five forms)
  • Data import assistance for two data sets
  • Unlimited email support from E-ISG (less than 24-hour response) for the agreement period, plus 30 days beyond the agreement
  • Unlimited telephone support from E-ISG (nine hours/day, five days/week) during agreement period
  • One two-hour VAM user training session, including scanner setup and use
  • One two-hour VAM administrative walkthrough to demonstrate basic functions

Asset Management Implementation — Premium

Our most comprehensive remote training session, also conducted by E-ISG, includes the following:

  • One installation and configuration of VAM Network Client, Web Client and Reports
  • Development of operational plan for inventory and asset management
  • Five custom reports
  • Forms customization
  • Data import assistance for two data sets
  • Unlimited email support from E-ISG (less than 24-hour response) during agreement period, 30 days beyond this agreement
  • Unlimited telephone support from E-ISG (nine hours/day, five days/week) during agreement period
  • One VAM user training session, including scanner setup and use and inventory practices and preparation, including preparation for data import
  • One VAM administrative walkthrough to demonstrate basic functions

 

Training

We’re committed to helping you experience the benefits of real-time, Web-based scheduling, so we offer two training courses for Visual Asset Manager: one for users and one for system administrators.

Each session is available via Web and audio conference from a E-ISG training representative, and any number of participants may attend. Each session provides up to four hours of training time to cover the agenda and allow for a question and answer period. Customers may select one or both sessions to meet their needs:

End User Training
This session is designed for those who will be using the application regularly to meet asset management needs. Our trainer will explain the application interface, the inventory process, and some of the built-in features that help with the day-to-day use of the software. These include instruction on how to use built-in filters and search forms, as well as how to produce detailed reports on asset data. (Up to 2 hours.)

VAM Professional Administrator Training
This session is designed for VAM Professional system administrators who will be deploying and administering the application within the organization. Our trainer will provide an overview of the application from the “user” perspective and will also explain all administrative options available. (Up to 2 hours.)

This package offers our same high-end support and includes Appliance training, email and phone support, as well as free software updates. Premium Support
