Antennas

The Yagi antenna provides long-range directional reception using several elements which are connected together by a longer element known as a boom. The boom, which carries no current, supports a reflector element, a driven element and one or more signal directing elements. These “directors” help to give the antenna a directional pattern. RF Code deployments often require three- or seven-element Yagi antennas for extended read-range applications. A pair of Yagi antennas will most often be attached to an RF Code reader with either 6’ or 15’ connector cables.

Two Yagi antennas are used to provide maximum tag angle diversity. Other special purpose antennas are available for increased range and/or directionality
